Return & Refund Policy
How to Start a Return:
To begin a return request, please send an email to hello@shopemj.com with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.
Our Goal:
We want you to love everything you receive from Shop EmJ! Because we curate limited-quantity collections, please review our return guidelines prior to completing your purchase.
Store Credit:
Eligible returns are issued in the form of Shop EmJ store credit via e-gift card. Initial shipping fees are non-refundable.
Return Window & Process:
• Request Window: Return requests must be sent via email within 7 calendar days of your delivery date.
• Return Transit: Once authorized, your item must be handed over to the carrier within 5 business days. Items mailed back after this timeframe will be returned to sender.
Item Condition Guidelines:
To receive store credit, all items must arrive back to us in pristine, resalable condition:
• Unworn, unwashed, and alter-free
• Original hangtags attached
• Folded neatly with buttons/fasteners secured
• Free of stains, makeup, deodorant, or self-tanner residue
• Free of scents (perfume, smoke) and pet hair
Policy Violations & Restocking:
Returns that do not meet the criteria above may be declined. If an item requires minor cleaning or care upon arrival (such as lint/pet hair removal or folding), a $12 processing fee will be deducted from your final store credit amount.
Final Sale Items:
The following categories are non-returnable:
• Clearance items and promotional purchases discounted 20% or more
• Accessories, jewelry, bodysuits, and swimwear
• Gift cards
Damaged or Incorrect Items:
Please check your packages as soon as they arrive! If an item is damaged or incorrect, email hello@shopemj.com within 48 hours of delivery with photo documentation. Reports submitted after 48 hours are ineligible for replacement or store credit.
Product Disclaimers & Garment Care:
Shop EmJ is not responsible for garment damage resulting from improper wash or care methods. Please note that lighting, digital photography, and display resolutions can cause slight color variations on screen; these differences do not constitute product defects.
Combined Shipments & Delivery:
We do our best to group orders placed around the same time into a single package.
• Free Standard Shipping applies exclusively to individual checkout totals of $150 or more. Multiple smaller orders cannot be combined post-purchase to reach the $150 minimum.
• If we combine multiple separate shipments on our end, any duplicate shipping charges will be refunded to your original payment method, keeping one base shipping fee.
